drakenwerks My cat thought it was a god. Needing worship and then dishing out clawed hellfire at a whim. I played it this album to show it the futility of believing it is a god. Now the cat realises the nihilistic hopelessness of its life, got itself a job stacking shelves and is doing a part time course in conservation work.* Oh, and it's a very beautiful album to listen to whilst you re-educate your cat about it's delusion.

The rise of the ‘Post-Truth Age’ re-awakens with it some of the most important questions Humanity has ever faced.

Most notably, questions of faith versus truth.

Faith, when forced by fear, or with the threat of a less favourable alternative can be a powerful motivator and serves as the ultimate leverage. When this is the case, Truth becomes seen as insignificant and gives way to blind faith. As long as our faith remains unquestioned and unshaken, it remains the principle, unchallenged provider of law, regardless of the validity or importance of the question – thus we enter the realm of Post Truth’. The ‘truth’ can be whatever it takes to keep the flock happy and unchallenged.

The light of the father is sacred.

The scientific search for the light is as a result fraught with
uncomfortable truths for the faithful.

If everything is questioned, nothing is sacred, and if nothing is sacred, faith ceases to exist.

Is the search for truth therefore a heresy?

It is Human nature to search for truth.
